Keelhaul ‘em All

by Snailbones

Kevin McGavin I've been a fan of grunge punk for years, and this album definitely does not disappoint. The lyrics are gritty and funny, and the guitar riffs are killer in the way of early Jawbreaker Favorite track: Dead Inside.
Grand Homich

Grand Homich Okay, so Snailbones definitely got heavier, with more defined bass and vocals buried in the mix, while keeping that psycho circus vibe.
and yeah, guitar work really grew on me, and I’m even ready to accept the lack of female vocals

Matt Hammond The first time I heard this album I instantly asked myself if Steve Albini is already producing this band. And of course he does, so you know what to expect.
Zarin Uvaroff

Zarin Uvaroff Keelhaul is a bit sludgier sounding take on grunge - which is not really surprising with such naming - Snailbones really improved their personality and style on this one.
Haramizer

Haramizer The raw energy and angst in the vocals and instrumentals really take me back to the heyday of 90s alternative music.

needlefreak The most Portland thing that happened to music in 2022.

Mouse Clap 03:17
He's the captain of the ship His words worth more than gold But his crew wanted to drink and carry on And do their own thing Around here that's what we call a mutiny Walk the plank! Here we go again Now we gotta swim Where are all my friends Jesus Christ it's cold
2.
Dead Inside 02:06
They Come In Unannounced As uninvited guests Where they’ll make Their home and Replicate more and more and more of them to store. Now I Have Become a risk for you And you, and you Unknowing to me They feed Off me And now I’m dead Inside I’m dead Inside I’m dead Dead Dead Dead inside I’m dead Dead Dead Inside I’m dead Dead Dead Dead inside I’m dead Dead Dead inside
3.
We’ll set out into the world again With every breath we will be singing The orange sunsetting glow is so blinding Into the blistering sunlight We will run away Right where we need to be This is where we’ll stay WooHoo We’ll run and run until we’re done With no imposing thoughts again To get where we need to be Into the trembling moonlight We will run away Right where we need to be This is where we’ll stay Never go back again Woohoo
4.
Here we go again... I don't want to see your face at all Don't even want to know your name Wish I'd never seen you around here Don't want to commit you to memory I won't be writing your number down I'd rather pour salt into my eyes Than to talk to you I hate you I hate you I hate you I hate you
5.
Floating 02:22
This ship keeps sailing on even without them, no one knows where I came from or where I’m going. Its okay, it’s alright. Cause I’m floating in Floating down, floating out, floating away. Soft in the treetops glows silver halos of beauty Filling the hollows with eery light Down into the valleys plunge phosphorescent beams Seeking and searching until they meet clouds of vapor In resurrection from an earthy tomb Together they come and together they mix Until a new element of moonmist is created Into the moonmist I walk Into the moonmist I walk
6.
Death Face 03:16
I’m pressed and out of my mind And grasping and collapsing Into the depths I must go And drown and drown into fear With no room at all to bare And all the people will flee Once they get a real look at me Now I stand alone We hate We waste We take We steal We lie We kill We’ll do everything we possibly can to fail I’m free to do what I need To keep my two feet moving Onto the depths I remain I take steps to prepare For all of what is to come There is strength in numbers We will fight this with each other And now we’re all together We love We save We make We give We say We’ll help We’ll do everything we possibly can to fail We’ll fail And fail And fail And fail And fail
7.
Dissension 01:56
I dissent, you dissent. An argument Jesus Christ! This won't work
8.
I sit above the clouds I see the world down below Wishing I would come down But when my light shines the clearest Is when your hopes seem the nearest And when your life feels the dearest Aren’t you seeing red? Don’t you want to see it too? I found a way A way we can break apart the day In a place where we can be alone Now we’ll know we’re safe and sound I treasure this time of year My warmth is so sincere You wanted me not long ago And now you want me to go I thought I was your favorite star Your star waving from earth from afar Aren’t you seeing red? Don’t you want to see it too? The sun is here The clouds will come and save the day The rain is finally here Don’t you want to waste away with me I know a place Where we can hide away Down in the basement dark and damp Where we’ll spend most our days Let’s hide inside This way we can break apart the day It’s a place where we can be alone Now we’ll know we’re safe and sound
9.
Bury Me Meow 02:26
Here is a song I wrote just for you Every little word I wrote hope it get's to you There is just one thing that I'd like to say to you My love won't wait for you or anyone This one right here right now tears me to shreds If I die right here meow bury me now.
